Linda, her work
"Light, texture, contrast, a colour or an emotion, a series can
often be started by something seemingly insignificant which captures
my imagination. Sometimes a series evolves over many years, others I
can take no further. Each series is worked with a variety of mixed media's
and textures depending on what I feel that subject requires."
Linda Frear had a small studio/gallery near the famous Driftwood
Spars Hotel in St Agnes in Cornwall from 1995 to 2006. Her studio was
part of the Trevaunance Cove Art & Design Workshops in St. Agnes,
just a short walk from the beautiful Trevaunance Cove on the picturesque
north Cornwall coast. The workshops contain eight galleries, all under
one roof, and the resident artists work ranges from contemporary painting
to ceramics, glass and pottery.
